刘远立，国务院参事、北京协和医学院长聘教授，卫生政策与管理学专业博士生导师。2013-2023年分别担任北京协和医学院公共卫生学院、卫生健康管理政策学院创始院长。1993~2013年执教于哈佛大学，是卫生健康体系学的创始人之一。曾任哈佛大学公共卫生学院中国中心创始主任，2011年创立中美健康峰会，曾任联合国“千年发展目标”顾问委员会委员，世界卫生组织、世界银行等国际组织以及世界500强企业的战略顾问。兼任第二、三届国务院深化医药卫生体制改革领导小组专家咨询委员会委员、中央统战部党外知识分子建言献策专家组成员、国家卫健委健康促进指导委员会副主任委员、国家基本公共卫生服务项目专家组成员、欧美同学会留美医学专业委员会主任委员、现代医院管理能力建设专家委员会医改分委会主任委员。
长期深入参与中国卫生健康领域一系列重大政策研究与战略咨询，包括《“健康中国2030”规划纲要》《中华人民共和国基本医疗卫生与健康促进法》的相关研究。出版学术专著10部，包括主编两本《健康中国蓝皮书》，在国内外期刊上发表文章400余篇。多次入选爱思唯尔中国高被引学者榜单及斯坦福大学全球前2%顶尖科学家“职业生涯影响力”榜单及全球前2%顶尖科学家“年度影响力”榜单。
